Obituary for Warren B. Chase

Warren Beverly Chase of Scranton died Friday evening, October 27, 2017, in the
Jewish Home. Born May 8, 1924, in Scranton, to parents Clyde Naylor Chase and Henrietta
"Nettie" Wirth Chase, he was 93. The youngest of six children he was preceded in death by
brothers Clyde, Charles, and William, and sisters, Dorothy and Catherine Chamoni. A
graduate of Scranton Central High School, he also attended Temple University.
Warren was a veteran of WWII, as a Staff Sergeant, Detachment "A" 881st Signal
Company, Army Air Force. He was awarded the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific
Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.
He was employed by Capitol Records and then Stantone Printing. Was an avid bowler
and golfer, and Penn State fan and was a longtime member of Hickory Street Presbyterian
Church.
He is survived by nieces and nephews, Judy Kilgore, Linda Stone and husband Bruce,
Susan Holt, Wendy Mitchell and husband Scott, Barbara Reynoso and husband Joseph, Nancy
Kaplan, Robert Chamoni, Catherine Chamoni, and Barbara Busby and husband Pat.
The family wishes to thank the Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania and Michele McDermott for their care of Warren and the many doctors and nurses who attended him.
Private services were held by the Miller Bean Funeral Home 436 Cedar Ave. Internment was at the Abington Hills Cemetery.
