Obituary for David Watson

David Watson passed to the afterlife 10/26/17 peacefully in his sleep.
David joins his father Michael L. Watson Sr. above. David is survived by his son Britton Allen Duke in Alaska, mother Martha Ann Weber Watson, and siblings Michael L. Watson Jr., Theresa E.Smith (John and son John Jr. (Jennifer)), Pamela W. Konrath (Michael and their children Melissa Wacek (Chris), Robert, and Meghan), Shannon G. Watson.
David grew up enjoying his childhood on Big Cedar Lake in Cedar Lake Hills. He grew up in a time when we would be told to run and play until dinner after our chores where done. He would drive his mini bike and snowmobile around the neighborhood track in the empty lots and down the path to the lake. Days and nights were filled with neighborhood games of kick the can and ghost in the graveyard, and building forts in the woods. Summer days where filled with diving for clay, clay and muck fights on the raft, tennis ball tag at the beach, occasionally riding bikes off the sea wall into the water., and boat rides. Our father couldn't keep the boat gas tank full. Several summer mornings where filled with rising before his parents, and going down to the lake fishing. David grew up with neighborhood traditions which included boat trips to the Mississippi and Wolf River, snowmobile trips up north, and rafting down the Wold River. David took naturally to snow and water skiing, a right of passage taught by our father.
David was an extremely talented mason and landscaper, investing decades of hard work all over Southeastern Wisconsin. People described him as having super human strength. David had a great love for music and playing the drums; he never met a stereo that could be played too loudly. His father before him passed down David's great love for the outdoors and the simple things in life. One means his father shared this love was by Boy Scout and family trips to the Boundary Waters, and family trips across the country skiing the Rockies and exploring National Parks, including our Father's favorite of Yellowstone.
Private family services will be held Saturday November 4th, 2017 at St. Peter's Church in Slinger. David's final resting place on earth will be by his father and grandparents at Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon Wisconsin. Prayers for David's eternal soul may be offered up to Father Solanus Casey; descendant of his father's birth mom Mildred Casey, whose mass of beautification, path of Sainthood, is this November.
A Memorial Fund for David's son Britton is being arranged: c/o Pamela Watson Konrath 4704 Lakeview Circle Slinger, WI 53086

May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
May the rain fall softly on your fields
Until we meet again
May he hold you in the hollow of his hand
