Condolence From: Valeria Lazzaretto
Condolence: Dear Don, Barb, and the Romaniuk family,
I received notice of your father, Stephan's death via a post of his obituary sent by Lorraine Lee. This was a most lovely tribute of your father's legacy, and I marvelled at some of the similarities for my own parents (who are still alive but ailing). The wave of immigration from Europe after the war certainly influenced our little community of Lethbridge. I fondly recall Don being a most loyal supporter of freedom for Ukrainians while we were in our formative years of education.
Edmonton certainly has a very strong Ukrainian influence and I am certain Stephan was able to share his dedication strengths in many ways. May fond memories of this patriarch sustain all of you during times of sorrow. With sincere condolences.
