Mrs. Carrie Gordon, age 99 of Winnsboro, passed away on Tuesday, October 31st, 2017 in Winnsboro. She was born on September 1st, 1918 in Emory to the late Alfred Cockrum and Willie Cockrum. She was a sheet metal fabrication supervisor, homemaker and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, States Wesley Gordon; daughter, Wanda Sue Caviness; son, Kenneth Joel Gordon; sons-in-law, Don Adair, Charley "Buddy" Garner and one grandson, Jonathan Gordon
She is survived by, son, Wesley Ray Gordon of Guy, Texas; daughter, Linda Garner of Winnsboro; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren and thirty-eight great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3rd, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm, Bro. Perry Shirley conducting, Interment will follow at Prospect Cemetery in Emory, with Kenneth Gordon, Timothy Gordon, Travis Caviness, John Caviness, James Gordon, David Gordon serving as pallbearers.
