Obituary for Rudolph "Rudy" Rogers

Rudolph "Rudy" Rogers
Rudolph (Rudy) Andrew Rogers, of Waco, TX went to be with his Lord and Savior surrounded by his family on October 31, 2017. Visitation will be held at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 N Robinson Dr, Waco, TX 76706, on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 6pm – 8pm. The funeral service will be held 10am Monday, November 6, 2017 at Harris Creek Baptist Church, 401 Stageline Dr, McGregor, TX 76657 with a graveside burial following at Oakwood Cemetery, Waco, TX, where Rudy will be laid to rest next to his son Randy.
Rudy was born in Hamilton, TX on November 29, 1962 to Victor and Theresa (Ledesma) Rogers. Rudy grew up with three brothers and one sister. Rudy was married to his beautiful and steadfast wife, Ester (Lujan) Rogers for 30 years. Rudy and Ester had four amazing children in addition to two children, collectively, who had previously gone to be with the Lord. His pride and joy were his eight grandchildren whom he loved beyond the ends of the Earth.
Rudy was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be graciously missed and always with us in our hearts. Rudy was a man of many words, a man who gave his all to work hard every single day and a man who was a number one fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He always had a smile for you even on his toughest days. He was a man who knew no strangers and a man who loved well. If you needed a hand, he was the man to call on. If you only met him a time or two you would know the things he loved and treasured on this Earth – his family. He loved his family more than he could verbally express. His emotions of pride and delight in his children and grandchildren were undeniable. Rudy will always be remembered for the man he became and the restoration his soul found in Christ Jesus. He will never be forgotten as our Dad, Pops or RuRu. He will forever be in our hearts until the day we meet again in sanctity with Jesus. We will always love and cherish our time and memories with our beloved RuRu.
Rudy was preceded in death by his son, Randy Rogers; his brother, Victor Rogers, Jr.; and his father, Victor Rogers.
Rudy is survived by his wife, Ester Rogers; his four children, Margaret McVan and husband Brian, Jessica Buck and husband Lloyd, Victor Rogers and wife Tiffany, and Ryan Rogers and wife Melissa; his eight grandchildren, Tyler McVan, Chandler McVan, Lloyd Zachary Buck, Madison Buck, Hailey Rogers, Colton Rogers, Noah Rogers and Annabel Rogers; his mother, Theresa Rogers; his siblings, Johnny Rogers, Ismael Rogers and Janie Rogers. Rudy is also survived by several loving extended family members.
