Condolences

Condolence From: Terri Bentley
Condolence: Sylvia was a very special lady. She was very proud of her Indian heritage and did many things for our DAR chapter. I will miss her smile and enthusiasm.

Well done thou good and faithful servant.

Prayers for the entire family.

Condolence: It brings me sadness to say goodbye to Sylvia. From the day I met her, she has been a friend and inspiration with her fierce determination. Always willing to help and always careful not to intrude or impose, Sylvia was there when needed. Our DAR chapter also lost a great friend and loyal member since 2005. The good times we all shared with our garage sales at her house, our day trips with her and just her fun loving nature will long be remembered. While I am saddened by her passing, I know she is with the Lord and is no longer struggling and in pain. One final thought about my friend, Sylvia that you may not have noticed – she could be a little stubborn. That in itself brings on funny memories. God gave us a gift of a close friend when he gave us Sylvia. We were blessed to call her friend. My prayers for her family and those close friends who also mourn her passing.

Condolence From: Mary Sockwell
Condolence: Sylvia was a member of the Elizabeth Denton English NSDAR chapter in Mineola for over 12 years. She served as Recording Secretary and also served as Chaplain when I was Regent. We had many garage sales at her house which enabled our chapter's fundraisers. She gave programs on her Indian heritage to our chapter, the library and other organizations. Sylvia was always there to Len a helping hand.
Sylvia will be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this very difficult time.
