Condolences

Condolence From: Casey
Condolence: I did not personally know Mrs. Davis, but I have experienced the loss of a loved one. It is times like these that we may need to be reminded of God's guarantee regarding death and the resurrection. Death was not God’s purpose for mankind and his purpose has not changed. God’s word says 'death is an enemy' and promises it will be 'brought to nothing'. (1Corinthians 15:26) Psalm 34:18 says, "Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." So, God does care about our pain and grief so much so that he guarantees the restoration of life or as one definition says, "the state of one risen from the dead". As you know, Jesus not only spoke of the coming resurrection (John 5:21, 28, 29), he himself was resurrected by his Father and performed many miracles including resurrections. So, starting with Jesus, all resurrections took place here on earth. God's word assures us that the grief and sorrow we experience is temporary (Revelation 21:4) because God is a promise keeper and we will have the prospect of seeing our loved ones again! (Acts 24:15) This truth not only provides hope for the future but serves to comfort us even now. May God bless your family and the friends of Mrs. Davis in the coming days.........
