The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.
The highlight of my time in college was my two years at Cayuga Community College. A large part of my time was spent as writier and later editor or the Collegain newspaper.
Blaine was a kind and patient mentor to me for the years I was at the college and paper. I recall with thanks my first trip to New York City was with Blaine for the Naional College Newspaper Convention. Blaine shared wiht us "HOw to put the head in the head line."
I am also thankful for times I met BLaine when Elaine was a camper and later a counselor at Willowbrook day Camp.
I prayed for Blaine at mass tonight and will do so on SUnday also.
Thank God for this special man and his family.
