Peacefully, The Lord called Harry Home, from Gardenview LTC, Townsend on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the age of 94 years. Beloved husband of Ida (nee Van Dyk) for almost 60 years. Dear Dad of Ingrid Kapteyn (Peter) of Calgary, Ed of Vars, Helen Beimers-Templeton (Randall) of Waterloo, Renee Beimers Hardie of Kitchener, Michael (Yvonne) of Aurora, and Bert (Lin) of Vars. Loving Pake of 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Brother of Bert, and Andrew (Johanna) both of BC and the late Jan, Klaas, Bill, Ray, Gary and John. Harry was born in the Netherlands in 1923 and immigrated to Canada in 1951 where he was a dairy farmer in the Ottawa area. Harry also served the Dutch Army in Indonesia for three years. Friends are invited to call at COOPER FUNERAL HOME, 19 Talbot St. W., Jarvis on Sunday from 3-5 p.m. Funeral Service for Harry will be held at Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church,139 Talbot St. E., Jarvis on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Knox Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family wish to express their thanks to all the staff at Gardenview LTC and Dr. Paul Medve for all the care Harry received over the past four years.
