Condolences

Condolence From: Mike Zenner
Condolence: Growing up, my dad and Mark's dad were, of course brothers, but were also very close, so I spent a lot of my childhood with Mark and his family. I still have fond memories and recurring dreams about those times. I also have other recurring dreams. One about trying to hunt ducks where I'm always late, never get my decoys set on the X's and end up hunting in a building. Another about trying to play golf but can never find a place on the first tee where I can actually swing at the ball. OK, so I'm a little weird...and I'm digressing. My memories and dreams about Mark and his family center around their house in Cold Spring. Playing ball in the front yard, running around the back yard and the woods behind their house and playing in the basement...the skits and of course...The Band. I still don't know what the words are to Green River, but every time I hear it I have to smile. I think of Mark now as one of the Blues Brothers. Trying to get the band back together (hopefully not too soon) and definitely on a mission from God.

Condolence: Hello Jeanne, Nicole, Shaun & Family. WE were very sadden to hear about Marks passing. We just found out about a month ago that Mark had cancer, (Fred told us). Mark & Jeanne have been very LOYAL friends of ours for many years & will never forget that you came to us when you Sold your Home in Long Prairie, MN. Mark was my Mentor in Marching Band back in the late 60's. I was the youngest Trombone player in the Band so they put me next to Mark in parades for 2 summers (and did I learn a lot !!) Mark was a GREAT GUY & so are you Jeanne !! We miss you Guys in Minnesota & we think about our friend Gary Zumwalde Often. God Bless Mark & also your Family. With All Our Love, David & Bonnie Dols, from the Great City of Richmond, MN.

Condolence: My deepest sympathy to Jeanie and the family. I was saddened when I heard he had passed. He was a great inspiration to me and Mark really helped me with my own faith in the church. I will never forget one of his homily's where he was talking about "Jesus is Fishers of Men" and threw a big fish pillow out into the crowd to get their attention. He was certainly a great Deacon and man and will be missed by anyone who met him. God Bless you and your family.

Condolence: Papa Z's light will live on forever, no doubt about it. He leaves his amazing presence for us all through his incredible family. What a guy to be around! So kind, considerate, and FUN. And the man gave the best prayers I've ever heard. He will be sorely missed, but I know that he is shining his love down on all of us.

Condolence: Little Elliott and I are thinking of you all. We lit a candle this week. I will miss Mark. I have fond memories of him cooking in the kitchen and being such a loving and strong man in the community. His life is definitely a celebration. May he have peace now and soar with the angels. Much love and light, Kristine and Elliott. xoxo
