Carolyn Carr Bennett, 68, of Stephenville, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with David Bearden officiating. Interment will follow at East Memorial Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.

Carolyn was born on October 16, 1949 in Stephenville to the late Earnest W. Carr and Evelyn Lookingbill Carr. She married Gayland Bennett on January 6, 1967 in Stephenville and together they raised two children. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1989. Carolyn resided in Stephenville most of her life. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Stacy Vick and husband Jimmy of North Carolina; sister, Mary Ann Moore and husband Bobby of Stephenville; grandchildren, Brooke Bennett of Austin, and Robbi Bennett of Bangs; nieces, Christy Reese, and Kelly Moore; nephews, Randall Carr, and Steven Carr; and her best friend, Kathy Brannon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gayland Bennett; parents, Earnest Carr and Evelyn Carr Davis; son, Robert Waylan Bennett; and brothers, Phil Carr, and Ralph Carr.

Memorials may be made to the Erath County Humane Society (in honor of her cat Sam) 891 E. Rd. Stephenville, Texas 76401.
