Obituary for Edwin John Raymond

Edwin John  Raymond
Edwin John Raymond, a resident of Roseville and formerly New Haven, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Friday, November 10, 2017. He was 68 years old.

Edwin was born on October 25, 1949 in Bad Axe, Michigan to Edwin H. and Delores Grace (nee Podeski) Raymond. Edwin served his country honorably during the Vietnam War in the United States Army. After his military service, Edwin obtained his Bachelor's degree in business and worked in the Public Works Department in city of Warren as a subpoena officer until his retirement in 1999. Outside of his work, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bicycling, and was a proud and active member of the Vietnam Veterans Post #154. Edwin was also had proud faith and had a strong relationship with the Lord. Above all, Edwin loved his family and deeply cared for his nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews, caring for them as if they were his own. Edwin was lovingly cared for by his sister Lillian for the last few years and brought him much comfort.

Edwin is survived by his loving siblings Lillian (John Kniel) Dyer, Clara (John) Altick, John Raymond, George Raymond, Richard (Irene) Raymond, Raymond E. Raymond, and Barbara Raymond; and by many cherished nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 4pm to 7pm at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Michigan 48026 with a funeral service at 7pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery on Wednesday at 2:30pm. Share memories with the family at faulmannwalsh.com
