Fourth Of July Fun

One of the great memories I think all of us have is the fun we had as a family every fourth of July, getting together to share food and fun. All the kids in the Pool or on the basketball court and the grownups, sharing stories and eating good food. And of course the best food came from Karen and Carl-Sausage Bread, Meatballs and Sauce.... I loved when all the kids sang Happy Birthday to America and blew out the candles on the cake and Carl would sing along with the kids.One thing most people dont know about is the quiet kind things Carl did for people. When I was bringing Rachel up alone and trying to work and take care of a house Karen asked Carl to come down and paint my bedroom for me; to some it might sound like a small thing but to me at the time it was huge! Karen and Carl were a great team for 43 years.
