Condolence: So sorry to hear of Carols passing.She and I were good pals for a short time back in 1994/1995 when she lived and worked in N.C.Hard to believe it was 24 years ago.She came into my life suddenly and unexpectedly like the flash of a shooting star.So much fun hiking and exploring the South Mountains,Appalachian Mountains,and local trails with her dog Sunny along as well.I'll forever recall seeing the movie Forrest Gump together and her smile and giggle as she declared that I was so much like Forrest Gump.Her bright light sped in and out of my life like a comet,but alas my memory of her will hold....perhaps when I look up at the paintings on the dark canvas of Gods night sky,a twinkling star will remind me of her....she left her footprints in my heart!Condolences to her family,friends, and all blessed to have known her. Condolence: My heart goes out to Carol's family and friends during this extremely difficult time. I will always remember Carol's warmth, kindness, welcoming smile, infectious laughter, and her sense of adventure. Carol made the world a more beautiful place, and I feel so lucky to have grown up next door to her.

Condolence: My most heartfelt condolences to Kathy, and Carol's family. I knew the first time I met Carol, that she was an incredibly special person, with a zest for life, and warm, caring, and compassionate personality. How she handled her life and diagnosis with such grace was an inspiration, whether in clinic or on a hiking trail, which I was blessed to have know her in both settings. I feel honoured to have known her, and will miss her. Again, my most sincere condolences.

Condolence: Carol was one of the kindest nicest people we have known. She always looked on the bright side of life and was a fun happy person to be around. We both enjoyed running & hiking with her and often talk of our adventures travelling with her in New Mexico. Condolence: Carol made me a better person. From our first grade to graduation, she showed how being top of the class did not have to be a competition but rather a positive goal. She was there to help her classmates at every turn with a smile and patience. One of the best role models our small town has ever known.

Condolence: My condolences to Kathy and all of Carol's family. We will miss her dearly. I am so thankful that we didn't let boundaries in our initial professional relationship stop us from developing a friendship over the years. So many memories - walking/rolling through Glenbow Ranch Park to find the eaglets' nest, looking for the owlet's nest and feeding birds from our hands in Baker Park, sharing meals.....the list could go on. Carol taught us to live and love fully each day and we will honour her memory by doing just that. Big hugs to you Kathy.

Carol was such a remarkable, strong, and caring person Loved hearing her stories about her travels and exploits of the furry friends, good or bad :) We played Words with Friends and shared little conversations .... she always won and she ALWAYS had something positive to say. Each time I walked along Kevin as he rolled in to the UofC gym Carol was often one of the first people we encountered. Her smile was infectious and her attitude and determination beyond compare. We are going to miss her so. Her obituary described Carol's life so perfectly and the poem Kiana wrote is wonderful. Kiana, Carol was so appreciative of everything you did for her. Condolence: Kathy, I send you my love as you say goodbye to the love of your life. Carm, I send you hugs as you say goodbye to your soulmate. To all of Carol’s family I say thank you for sharing your bright, shining star with us. She made the world come alive every day. I am proud to say she was my true friend and confidant. Condolence: Although I hadnt seen Carol for many years, I remember her as being a delight to work with. Always so cheerful, and kind to everyone whose lives she touched. I must admit it took me a while to differentiate between Kathy and Carol, when they came into the department separately. They looked so much alike. Kathy, I wish you peace in the days to come. My thoughts are with you.

Condolence: Kathy and family, My heart goes out to you all at this very sad time. I can't help but think that the world was a better place with Carol in it. She was a brilliant ray of sunshine, and an inspiration of strength and courage. Her quick wit and positive attitude made her so much fun to be around. I remember a time when we ran into each other; actually, she literally flew past me while trialing a new motorized scooter, pink rosy cheeks and a huge smile, booking it up the hill in Silver Springs!
