Obituary for Sara Lucas Weber

Sara Lucas Weber
Sara Lucas Weber, 82, died at home on Saturday, November 18. She was the widow of the late James O. Weber. Born September 21, 1935 in York, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. Lucas and Sarah (Stearn) Lucas.

Sara was a 1953 graduate of William Penn High School and worked for McCory’s before turning to homemaking after her marriage.

A longtime member of Trinity UCC in York, Mrs. Weber was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and served as Grand Matron in 1976-77 of Chapter #169.

Mrs. Weber was predeceased by her parents, her brother Charles Lucas, and her husband. She is survived by her son Michael (Leslie) Weber of Bethesda, Maryland and two grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 11:00 am in the chapel at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York, with the Rev. Timothy Tutt officiating. There will be a viewing from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Hospice and Community Care of York at 224 St. Charles Way, Suite 200, York, PA 17402 or the SPCA of York County at 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
