Obituary for Martha "Marty" Louise McWhirter
Martha Louise “Marty” McWhirter of Belgrade, Missouri was born on August 9, 1961 in Scott County, Missouri. Marty entered eternal rest on November 20, 2017 at her residence in Belgrade having reached the age of fifty-six years, three months and eleven days.
Marty was a very loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister and aunt. Marty served her country in the United States Navy from December 3, 1982 to April 10, 1987.
Marty was preceded in death by her father, Carl Brooks: Paternal Grandparents: Charlie and Wilma Brooks; Maternal Grandparents: Lloyd and Janie Stricklin.
Marty will be missed by all who knew and loved her including her three daughters: Traci (Justin) Beck of Belgrade; Tabitha (Kristin Browers) DeClue of Belgrade; Tara (Jerry Hicks) of Farmington; nine granddaughters: Jaylie, Lydia, Kaylee, Jodie, Rose, Rachel, Haylee, Kaitlyn and Adelle; five grandsons: Logan, Austin, Abel, Adrian and Tyson; brother: James (Beverly) Brooks of Belgrade; Ronald (Kim) Brooks of St. Louis; Joshua (Jesse) Brooks of Potosi; Nick Brooks of Farmington; sisters: Rhonda (Eric) Beckman of Oceanside, California; Sue Hedrick of Hancock, Wisconsin; Brianna (Fiancé Larry Howell) Brooks of Farmington; Sierra Brooks of Potosi; Amanda (Jesse Briley) Aubuchon of Belgrade; Sarah Burns of Marble Hill; Ashley (Doug) Luttrell of Marble Hill; Lisa (Rick) Gilbert of San Antonio, Texas; also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Marty was a very loving mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt and sister. Marty served in the US Navy from 1981 until 1987.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 10 a.m. until the time of Funeral service at 1:00 PM, held at the DeClue Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Nash officiating.
Interment and final prayers were held in the Sunlight Cemetery with full military honors presented by the United States Navy and VFW Post 6947.
Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to the care wand direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
