Obituary for Kenneth Eugene Dahlberg

Kenneth Eugene Dahlberg
Kenneth Eugene Dahlberg, born July 28, 1926, in Murray, Utah to Gustaf E. and Hazel (Erlandson) Dahlberg; died Thanksgiving morning November 23, 2017, surrounded by his wife and family.

Life was an adventure to Ken. After serving in the Navy during WW-II, Ken married the love of his life, Maxine on July 22, 1948 in Sandy, Utah and were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ken and Maxine raised three children and traveled extensively their entire life together, best friends forever.

Ken took great pride in his lengthy career with Bennett’s Paint & Glass. His many friends and customers called him “Old Paint” with a laugh.

Ken LOVED the outdoors. He could be spotted fishing at Strawberry Reservoir, Hanna, Red Rock Hole, Bicknell, and Alaska or hunting at Loveridge, Twelve Mile, and beyond. He made every trip an adventure. Ken became known as “Grandpa Rock” to his grandchildren as he spread fun to everyone he met.

Ken embraced his LDS callings in the bishopric, and will be remembered for his honesty, service, compassion and friendship. Everyone enjoyed his humor and unique phrases.

Ken is survived by wife Maxine, daughter Carol (Jeff) Stringham, sons Kenneth Dahlberg Jr., Dave (Char) Dahlberg, sister Joann D. Olsen, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his brothers Robert C. Dahlberg, Richard A. Dahlberg, Raymond K. Dahlberg, sister Ida Jean Mitchell.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2017, at the Nelson Family Mortuary, 4780 N. University Avenue, Provo, UT. Friends may call at 10:00 a.m. prior to services. Interment at Eastlawn Memorial Cemetery in Provo.

We love you Dad.
