Leonard Slone, 92 of Shelbiana, KY passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the Pikeville Medical Center of Pikeville, KY.
He was born August 13, 1925 in Pike County, KY to the late Epp & Betty “Varney” Slone.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ellen Slone, two daughters, Geneva Kendrick & Geraldine Watson; siblings, Stella Justice, Marie Bartley, Lloyd Slone, Wade Slone, Jim Slone, nephews, Clayton Slone & Cecil Justice and one great grandchild
Leonard is survived by his loving children, Linda Sue (Willie) Stevens, Billy Ray (Fayetta) Slone, Paul Dean (Sherry) Slone, Raymond Slone, Anna (Ola B) Harris, & nephew Garland Slone & good friends Shirley Slone and Samantha (Paul) Smith; grandchildren; David, Tim, Annette, April, Tiffany, Taryn, Ginger, Tina, Stevie, Kirsten, Kyra, Billy Dewayne, Lisa, Mikie, Lacoyta, Danielle, Randy & 16 great-grandchildren.
Leonard will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will accept friends at the Thacker Memorial Chapel Thursday Nov. 30, 2017 at 6PM-9PM & Friday with services each night at 7PM. Officiating all services are Mike Smith, Jack Justice & Bill Smith. Funeral services will be Saturday December 2, 2017 at 2PM. Entombment will follow at the J.U. Thacker Mausoleum on Annie E. Young Cemetery.
