Obituary for Roberta Pickar
Roberta “Bonnie” Lucille Pickar, age 77, of Brainerd, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017, at Essentia – St. Joseph’s Medical Center. Bonnie was born in Brainerd on October 1, 1940, to George & Margaret (Mayer) Frisch. She married the love of her life, Robert Pickar on December 20, 1958, and together they had two daughters.
Bonnie loved her family very much, her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved bingo- “Bingo Bon” had her dobbers ready to go at all times. Her favorite pastime was gardening, her flowers and making her special Christmas Fudge and chex mix to share with her family. She will always be loved and remembered as “our auntie Bonnie” and “BonBon”.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Wanda (Terry) Lundeby of Brainerd and Kelli (Scott) Kramer of Brainerd; grandchildren: Trina (Nick) Erickson, Traci Lundeby, Brady (Kalee Guderjohn) Kramer, Alysa (Michael Jensen) Kramer, Jordan Kramer; great-grandchildren: Hunter, Mariah, Conner and Beau Erickson and Izabell and Maverick Badeaux; siblings: Robert (Patricia) Frisch of Brainerd, James Frisch of Nisswa, Karen (Jim) Hall of Isanti and Linda (Tom) Bickford of Riverton; sisters-in-law: Peggy (Bill) Erickson of Brainerd, Maxine (Emil) Hines of Brainerd, Dorothy (Larry) Larson of Brainerd and Nancy (Mark) Larson of Brainerd.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; brother David; grandson, Jesse Lundeby.
Funeral service for Bonnie will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Halvorson Johnson Funeral Home – BRAINERD CHAPEL from 4-7PM, and one hour prior to the service, Tuesday at the church. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
