Catherine R. Moloney 94 of Lake Forest passed away December 1, 2017. Wife of the late Raymond Thomas Moloney, Jr., Mother of James Moloney, Catherine M. (Robert) Gehrlich, Deborah M. (Thomas) Pavlick, Sharon (Dr. Charles E. Herlihy Jr.) Moloney and the late Raymond Thomas Moloney III.; grandmother of 13 and great grandmother of 8. She was and will always be a magnificent example of a Mother. Her love knew no boundaries. Not only was she a devoted mother, wife, daughter, grandmother and great grandmother, but she was also an exceptional business woman. Mother broke many glass ceilings in her years as President of Marlin Toy Company, successfully growing the business into an international competitor. Mother was a friend and wonderful advisor to all her children and continued through her life to give selflessly to all family and her many friends. Mother, you have given so much and asked for so little in return. Thank you for always being there for us, for teaching us, listening to us, helping and forgiving us, loving us, and always, always paving the way for us. We will work hard to reach the standard you set. Farewell to the best woman I have ever known, we will carry you close in our hearts forever. No Visitation.
