Obituary for Jessie William Nowell Jr.

Jessie William Nowell, Jr.
April 10, 1962-November 30, 2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Jessie William Nowell, Jr., age 55. As he was called to join our Heavenly Father on November 30, 2017 in Las Cruces, NM.
Jessie was the only son of Jessie William Nowell, Sr. and Rita Parsons Nowell, born on April 10, 1962, in Alamogordo, NM. After his fathers’ passing, the family made a home here in Las Cruces, NM, where Jessie schooled and graduated from Mayfield High School in 1980. He then went on to join the US Airforce where he honorably served his country. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to Las Cruces and pursued a career as a licensed plumber. He specialized in commercial plumbing and was known by his co-workers as the “Lone Plumber.” His most recent employer before he fell ill, was with Maddox Plumbing of Las Cruces.
Jessie was a rugged out-doors man who loved hunting, fishing, and camping; but his highest joy was in sharing his knowledge and love of the outdoors with his three sons. His loved sport was football.
Jessie is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lisa Nowell, three sons, Jessie William Nowell III and wife Crystal, Richard Nicholson and wife Serena, and the youngest being Thomas William Nowell and Jessie’s mother Rita Nowell.
He was very proud of his three grandsons, Sonny and Jonah Nicholson, the youngest Kyle William Nowell, and one granddaughter, Claudia Munoz.
Special thanks to his four sisters, whom spoiled him rotten, which contributed to the many headaches his wife endured. His four sisters, Pamela Colston, and husband Robert, Kathy Revet and husband Danny, Debbie Kulnis and husband Walter, baby sister Rhonda Nowell, and many nieces, a nephew and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jessie William Nowell, Sr, 1974.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Getz Funeral Home, Chapel Service will be held at 10 am, Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Getz Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Fairview Cemetery in Tularosa, NM.
