Obituary for Rose Rota
Rose Susan Rota passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday December 3, 2017. Rose was born in Stamford on April 29, 1925 to the late John and Angelina (Chiappetta) Orrico. She was the loving and devoted wife to the late Anthony Rota.
Rose the beloved mother of Frank(Adele), Anthony (Elena), Michael(Juliette)& Robert (Terry) Rota. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Christina, Stephanie and Robert Jr. Rota.
A lifelong parishioner of St Mary Church, Rose graduated from Greenwich High School and worked for Electrolux, Lifesavers, TallowsEnd and many area childcare centers. Her greatest passion was being a mom and a homemaker. After her family was grown, Rose was active in the Greenwich Senior Center where she particularly enjoyed chair yoga and line dancing.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday December 7, 2017 at 10 AM at St. Mary Church, 178 Greenwich Ave, Greenwich, CT 06830. Burial will follow in Putnam Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Stjude.org or Make a Wish Foundation, Wish.org or Disabled American Veterans, DAV.org
