Obituary for Jean Deal

Jean Deal
Jean Louise Deal (nee Disselhorst), of Buffalo Grove, IL passed away peacefully Monday, November 27th, 2017 at the age of 84. Born February 3, 1933 in Chicago, IL to the late Carl and Louise Disselhorst, Jean grew up as the older sister to Nancy (Gary) Keena. She was married to Dewey Deal, Sr., a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, on March 30, 1951. Jean is survived by her daughters, Pamela, Roberta (Rusty) Myer, Kathleen (Robert) Smith and her son, Dewey Jr. She loved to reminisce with her ten grandchildren and spend afternoons alongside her nine great-grandchildren. Jean was a kind, loving Mother who cherished spending time with family, collecting knick-knacks and creating needlepoint. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dewey, and her son, Michael. Her ashes will be interred with those of her husband at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL during a private ceremony that will be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name to the American Diabetes Association or DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Charitable Service Trust would be appreciated.
