Obituary for Anne E. Moore (O'Hare)

Anne Elizabeth (nee O’Hare) Moore, 97 of Wall passed away peacefully on December 6, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Newark, New Jersey, November 2, 1920 and resided in Newark until 1973. She was a communicant and active member of Sacred Heart Church, Vailsburg (Newark), holding position of President of the Rosary Altar Society. Anne moved to Wall with her loving husband, Newark Police Deputy Chief Irving J Moore, who predeceased her in 1995. Anne was proud of her Irish Heritage and was a member of the Jerry Lynch Association, Women of Irish Heritage, Jersey Shore, Pride of Wall Seniors, Catholic Daughters of the Americas-Court. St. Elizabeth and Belmar Fishing Club.

Anne was predeceased by her husband of 53 years Irving J Moore, her parents Edward and Mary (Healy) O’Hare, her son Vincent Austin Moore in 1945, a grandson Sean W. Lutz in 1995, son-in-law James D Furfey in 2013, two brothers Edward and Harry O’Hare, two sisters Eileen Duffy and Grace O’Hare. She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law Kathleen M. Furfey of NY, Patricia A. (John) Feehery of Wall and Maureen E. (James) Martin of Howell. Anne is also survived by eight grandchildren Maura E.(Osvaldo Maciel) Furfey, Michael M.(Bridget) Furfey, Kate A. Furfey, Brehan C. Furfey, Elizabeth A. Lutz, Kevin R Feehery (Dana Glaus), Meghan E. Martin and James A. Martin; four great grandchildren Andrew J. and Ella K. Provenzano, EvaT. Maciel and Connor J. Furfey; two sisters Janet (Lawrence) Chiaravallo of Wall and Patricia Formisano of Brick; a sister-in-law Elizabeth O’Hare of Livingston and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Sunday December 10 from 4-8 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ 08736. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held 11:30 am Monday December 11, 2017 at St. Rose Church, Belmar. Interment will follow at St. Anne Cemetery, Wall.
