Condolence From: Valerie LaRue
Condolence: Dear Joy, Hilary and family, and Brock and family,

Our family - Charlie, Craig and Deb, and Laurence and I, send our very sincere condolences to each of you at this very sad time. Art was such a special and dear friend to all of us. He and my father were friends long after they were business partners, which is pretty special. My father wants you to know that he learned much from Art and has always appreciated the special friendship they shared. Craig and I remember Art coming for meals when we were little children. He was like an uncle to us. It was so exciting when he brought Joy to meet us. We were thrilled he found happiness with Joy and that he had a family to love and mentor. I have corresponded with Art over the years, and he never emailed without expressing his love for our family. It is hard to say " goodbye" but please be comforted knowing how special and dear he was to us over the years. Sincerely, Valerie and family

Condolence From: Susan & Russell Robbins
Condolence: We were sad to see Art’s obituary in today’s Times Colonist. We have very fond memories of spending wonderful summers at Killarney Resort when Art & Joy owned & operated the place. Art was so patient with all the kids and was popular because he always took them for a ride on his tractor. Special hugs to you Joy. Susan & Russell Robbins & daughters Amy & Lia

Condolence From: Debra Faulk
Condolence: Many memories come to mind, gathering at Art & Joy's home, the surprise of seeing him in Ottawa, fondest though is remembering when I first arrived in the Comox Valley and the amazing welcome Art offered. It mattered more than he ever knew. Grateful to have known him. Condolences to all, sending a wave of love to you Joy.
Namaste
Debra
