Obituary for Myrna F Garnes
Myrna F. Garnes, 86, of Mercersburg, died December 14, 2017 at Menno Haven Nursing Center, Chambersburg.
Born March 1, 1931 at Mercersburg, she was a daughter of the late Clarence F. and Minnie M. Hornbaker Filer.
Myrna was a 1949 graduate of Mercersburg High School. She was a homemaker.
Myrna was a member of Kasiesville Bible Church. She loved her dogs.
Her husband, Milton L. Garnes, whom she married March 24, 1950, died April 6, 2017.
Surviving family include a daughter, Lorri L. (Dan) Maynard of Sautee-Nacoochee, GA; a son, Edward M. (Denise) Garnes of Mercersburg; three grandchildren, Andrew (Rebekah) Garnes, Chad (Maria) Garnes, Zachary (Rayanne) Garnes, five great grandchildren, Madisen, Ally, Andres, Paige and Emma.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 18th at 2:00 PM at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg, with Pastor Gregory Kell officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.
Viewing one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home
Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice 1200 Walnut Bottom Road Suite 302 Carlisle, PA 17015.
