Kathleen Mary (Wheeler) Witschorik, of Excelsior, MN, died on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital. She was born on September 9, 1949 on the South Side of Chicago, IL and was so proud of her Chicago roots and Irish heritage. This coming year would have been 50 years since she met her loving husband, Art Witschorik, at a St. Patrick’s Day dance. In 1971 they married and later moved to Minnesota where together they raised three children, Art, Ken and Kurt. Kathy had a long and rewarding career of over 30 years in the Minnetonka School District where she was known to be fair and kind to the students. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend to so many people. She was so loved and will be greatly missed. Kathy is survived by her husband, Art, her sons Art (Stacie), Ken (Danielle) and Kurt (Cynthia), and seven grandchildren, Artie, Owen, Helena, Samantha, Savannah and Gabe and Grace. She also leaves behind her siblings, Barbara (Jim) Justic, Michael (Mary Ann) Wheeler, Mary Beth (Rich) Rowan, , Martin Wheeler, and Colleen (Joe) Stein. A memorial service will be held at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Excelsior, MN on Friday December 22rd with visitation from 10AM – 11AM and Mass from 11AM till noon.
