Robert Thacker Jr, age 86, formerly of Pikeville, KY., passed from this life surrounded by family, Saturday, December 16, 2017, at his residence in Holgate, OH. Robert was born May 4, 1931 to the late Pleas and Amy Thacker in Pikeville, KY.
Besides both parents, Robert is preceded in death by his loving wife, Geneva Thacker; one son, Ralph Thacker; two grandsons, Steven Wayne and Robert Lee Thacker; one granddaughter, Christian Faith Thacker.
Robert is survived by his devoted children, Mike Thacker, Foster Thacker, Greg Thacker, Lonzo Thacker, Terry Thacker, Jean Blackburn, Donna K. Ramey, Amy Jo Blackburn, Teresa Thacker, and Barb Zeller; one sister Clova Adkins; twenty seven grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
Robert was a faithful member of the True Believers Church in Holgate, OH. He will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be at the Thacker Memorial Chapel Thursday December 21, 2017 at 6PM and Friday December 22, 2017 with services Friday night at 7:00 P.M. with Wendell Blackburn officiating. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery with DAV Honors conducted by the Johns Creek DAV Chapter #166.
