The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Sara Sechrist can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Ralph VanBuskirk
Condolence: Even though Sara and I weren't close in age, I remember her visiting at the farm and her love for animals. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time.

Condolence: I taught 4th grade across the commons from Sara at MLL. Sara's students were always well prepared. She had a special way of connecting with her students and could pull out the best in each child. Her manner of reaching her students was unique and very effective.

On a day like today, she would have had most of the children in St.Lawrence sledding on the hills at Lausch!

Sara, may you rest in peace.

Condolence: Sara was a fun, creative, adventurer. She was part of many of my adventures while I was growing up. Sara was also my mother's best friend. Sara will always have a special place in my heart and I take some solace in the fact that two great friends have been reunited.

Condolence: I was a student of Ms. Sechrist's at M.L. Lausch Elementary. She was a great teacher and made class fun. Everyone loved her. I have a special place in my heart for this teacher, because of her kindness and generosity, not just in the classroom, but also outdoors. My friend Tyler and I were welcomed to her cabin in Tioga County on multiple occasions, where we had adventures in the woods, sat by the campfire, and enjoyed the unique comforts of a true cabin in the wilderness. These trips provided me with many memories, and I truly thank her for all of them. May you rest in peace.

Condolence: Sara was a very special person. Loved Sadie's wonderful sense of humor....her zest for life, with all of her zany adventures (like riding a bike to Florida)....her kindness and consideration .....her love of animals.....the list goes on and on. Sara was a great daughter, sister, aunt, friend, teacher.etc. We are blessed to have so many beautiful memories of her. When the pearly gates opened, God said..."Job well done, Sadie!"
