Obituary for Billy Dorton Parrish
Mr. Billy Dorton Parrish, 86, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his family.
A memorial service will be held 2 pm, Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Avondale Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. Veronica Cannon. The family will greet friends following the service at the church.
Bill was born on September 16, 1931 in Concord to the late Leonard O. Parrish and the late Sally Dorton Parrish. He is also preceded in death by a son, David Parrish.
Bill was a graduate of Winecoff High School in Concord, along with Kings Business College in Charlotte. He was a Veteran of the US Navy and had worked for many years as the office manager of Weathers Furniture Co.
He is survived by his wife, Betty B. Parrish; daughters, Dawn Parrish, Kimberley Brady and husband, Marc; sister, Laura Virginia Sewell; grandchildren, Michael and Josh Brady.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Avondale Presbyterian Church, 2821 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28209.
