Obituary for Kari E. Clive-Sica (Clive)

Kari E. Clive-Sica (Clive)
Kari E. Clive-Sica 1981-2017
Chadwicks

Kari E. Clive-Sica, 36, passed away in the comfort of her home on December 24, 2017 with her loving family at her side.
She was born on January 20, 1981 in New Hartford, the daughter of Timothy Clive and the late Linda Belowich Clive.
Kari was a 1999 graduate of Sauquoit Valley Central School and went on to earn her nursing degree at St. Elizabeth School of Nursing.
During her nursing career she was employed with St. Luke’s Hospital, Dr. John at Slocum Dickson, Saratoga Hospital and most recently as a home health nurse through Bassett Hospital.
Kari was a loving and compassionate individual which made her a perfect fit for her career in nursing.
She loved the times spent at the Ocean, in the Adirondacks, traveling to Maine or just listening to music. Her smile and laugh were contagious and would brighten the day of anyone fortunate enough to meet her.
Kari’s life was further enriched when, on January 14, 2017, she and Matthew Sica were united in the bonds of Holy Matrimony.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband Matt, her “Littles”; Arya and Wyatt, her father; Tim, her step-daughter; Morgan Sica, her brothers and sisters in law; Sean and Jennifer Clive, Michael and Lindsey Clive, Andrew and Melissa Clive and Devin and Alicia Clive, her nieces and nephews; Jimmy, Derek, Austin, Emma, Maggie, Landon, Biddie, Ella, Seamus, Eoin, Jerome and Kian, her mother and father in law; Matt and Judy Sica, her brothers in law; Rich and Erin Sica and Dave and Sue Sica, her canine companions; Quinn and Murphy and her feline companions; Milo and Daisy.
Kari’s family would like to thank everyone who was there for them during her illness, especially Dr. Marissa Kalil, Drs. Liebers and Mastrianni and their staffs at Saratoga Oncology, Brenda and Jim Kuhn, Stephanie and Joe Jennings, Amanda Kuhn, Pam Elder, Becky Dean, Donna Bullen, Cathy Gaiser and all of the friends and family who did so much over the years, Kari loved you all!
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 1:00 at St. Patrick’s-St. Anthony’s Church in Chadwicks. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Clayville at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 3-7 at the Smith Funeral Home, 3022 Oneida St. Sauquoit.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to her family.
