Mildred E. “Betty” Lehman, 80, of York died Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Normandie Ridge. She was the wife of the late John H. Lehman. They were married for 47 years prior to his death in 2010.

Born December 30, 1936 in Norristown, PA, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Mildred (Stout) Montague.

Betty was a registered nurse for both Memorial Hospital and York Hospital.

She was a graduate of York Hospital School of Nursing. Betty was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church since 1965. She and her husband, John, were involved with the Boy Scouts at the church for over 25 years. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary to the Susquehanna Post 2493 of Mount Wolf.

She is survived by 2 sons, James and his wife, Khristine Lehman of York and Robert and his wife, Tammy Lehman of York, and 4 grandchildren, Daniel, Morgan, Derek, and Zachary Lehman all of York. She was preceded in death by her brother, William B. Montague.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church, 1401 Mount Rose Avenue, York with her pastor, the Rev. Wayne Heberlig, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the church. A memorial service conducted by her VFW Auxiliary will begin at 10:45 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bethany U.M. Church, 1401 Mt. Rose Avenue, York, PA 17403.
