O’CONNOR, John Anthony
Peacefully, at Hospice Niagara, on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 76 years of age. Beloved husband of Kathleen “Kathy” (nee Tierney) for 53 years. Dad of John (Resa) and Anne Marie O’Connor (Al Wackett). Poppa of Michael, Daniel, Grace and Ella. Dear brother of Patrick, Elizabeth Lynch; predeceased by his siblings Brian and Anne Currie. John will be missed by many nieces, nephews and their families. John was born in Glasgow, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1969. He was employed as a steel fitter with Niagara Steel until his retirement in 2005 after 27 years of service. In keeping with John’s wishes there will be a memorial mass at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. Denis Catholic Church, 230 Lake Street. Memorial donations to The Cancer Society or Hospice Niagara would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 52 Scott Street West, St. Catharines (between Ontario Street & South Service Road), 289-362-1144.
