Ellen Morene Cooper, 59 of Odessa passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2018 at Six-mile Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Six-mile Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m., until service time Monday at the church. Ellen was born August 14, 1958 in Kansas City, MO to Jimmy and Gloria (Brown) Cooper and has been a lifelong area resident. She had worked as a CNA and director for a group home. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, dancing, listening to music and spending time with family especially her grandchildren. Survivors include; 2 daughters, Joanna St John and husband Billy and Ashley Curtis all of Independence, MO; son, Frankie Curtis of Independence, MO; 2 sisters, Lorna Croney and husband James of Plattsburg, MO and Lori Cooper of Odessa, MO; 3 brothers, Jimmy Cooper of Independence, MO, Darrell Cooper of Odessa, MO and Manuel Cooper and wife Deidre of Odessa, MO and 7 grandchildren, Alyiah, Victoria, William, Payton, Christopher, Frankie Jr. and Madilynn.
