The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of David Toussaint can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Melinda “Sissie” Banks

Pop came into my life when I was about 10 years old. A lot of people claim to not see color, but this man truly did not. He would walk hand in hand with me, a stringy headed little girl, and my brothers, both blonde headed. He did not care. And when asked, he would proudly introduce his daughter and two sons. I remember a couple of occasions when people would try to correct him and say you mean your step children? My Pop was a smart alec at times, he would quickly say, “ Is that what I said? I said these are my kids.” (While shaking his upper body left to right) He helped to mold us with his love and understanding. I have never seen a man love like he did, and I probably never will again. I have no idea what our lives are going to be like without him in it. I am grateful for the time I had with him, the love he gave me, the lessons he taught me, and the smiles he brought and will continue to bring when I think about him. Just about everything reminds me of him in some way right now. Right now those memories bring tears, but one day I will smile in remembrance of my Pop David Paul Toussaint. I love you Pop.
