January 10, 1927 – January 5, 2018
G D Neal, 90, of Stephenville, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 in Bedford.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Werth Mayes officiating. Interment will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton. Viewing will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
G D was born on January 10, 1927 in Sudan, Texas to the late George Dewey and Willie Mae Neal. He served in the U.S. Army Battery B 123rd Field Artillery Battalion during WWII. After his service GD met and married the love of his life, Mary Nell Cole on June 26, 1948 in Hamilton. He lived for many years in Arlington working at the General Motors plant for 30 years, he also was a farmer and rancher raising Beefmaster cattle. GD retired to Stephenville where he loved doing yard work and gardening.
Left to cherish his memory his wife of almost 70 years, Mary Nell Neal of Stephenville; brother-in-law, Bob Ratliff and sister-in-law, Shirley Ratliff; two sisters; and a brother; along with many extended loving family members who will miss him dearly.
