Guy John Descaro Sr.-
After a valiant battle with cancer, it is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Guy John Descaro Sr., 66, of Cream Ridge, NJ. Born in Trenton, he served as a foreman, trustee, and mentor for Carpenter’s Local 31 for 35 years.
Guy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin who enjoyed baseball, camping, hunting and fishing with his family and friends. Through his love, strength and talent, he built two homes for his family, one in NJ and one in MA. He was an avid NY Yankee fan who loved his shenanigans.
Guy is predeceased by his parents Gaetano Descaro and Elizabeth (Cunningham) Goff; and is predeceased by his sister Barbara Stewart; Guy is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Linda Tomlin-Descaro and their 5 daughters, 1 son, and their spouses: Christine and Jason Morris, Alana and Bryan Holroyd, Alicia Descaro, Angela and Bryan Schmalz, Sarah and Christopher Mancuso and Guy and Jillian Descaro Jr. He was a loving Pop to 11 grandchildren: Brody, Conner, Matthew, Logan, Ryland, Cayden, Kaia, Carter, Hailey, Leila and Liam. He is also survived by 9 brothers and sisters, Edward Adams, Millie Adams, Peggy Descaro, Angela Leonardo, Bert Stewart, Jannette Stevens, Ernie Goff, Beth Cass, and Cheryl Goff; a sister-in-law, Darlene Lenhardt; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation to be held at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619 on Saturday January 13, 2018 from 11am to 2pm.
