Obituary for John Michael Antoniak

John Michael Antoniak
John Michael Antoniak Sr, 78, of Winooski, VT, went home to be with his Lord on January 5, 2018 at the McClure Miller VNA Respite House. John was born in Milwaukee, WI and was the son of the late Florian and Rose Antoniak.

He is survived by his Sister Dolly and Sons; John, Tony, Joseph and his wife Christina. Michael and his wife Candice. He was a proud Grandpa of John III, Mathew, Kelsey, Kailey, Ashley, Jared, and several great grandchildren. John was predeceased by his Brothers Florian Jr, Eugene and Danny.

Our Dad was a very generous man who was well respected in every community he resided. He was always willing to lend a hand even when he needed a hand himself. He voiced his concerns for others when they either were not heard or could not speak for themselves.

John is a Veteran who proudly served his country in the US Army and the Vermont Army National Guard. He also served his community while being a member of the Willsboro Fire Department. John or otherwise known as "Big John" served the Winooski School District in several capacities. Big John was the lone bus driver who transported students and sports teams safely to many events. He touched the lives of many students by his compassion, sense of humor and fatherly wisdom. He was also quick to let you know when you stepped out of line.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the McClure Miller VNA House in Colchester and the staff of Shepardson 4, and the dialysis team on Joy drive for their support and compassion during our father's time with them.

Visiting hours will be Jan 10, 2018 4-7 at LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Winooski.
