Condolence: I have no words that could possibly ease the pain your family must be going through at this time. I can only offer my sincere condolences and the abbreviated words from Paul Harvey that best exemplifies my deep respect for Mr. Ray and his family...

"And on the 8th day, God looked down on his planned paradise and said, "I need a caretaker." So God made a farmer..........
Somebody who'd bale a family together with the soft strong bonds of sharing, who would laugh and then sigh, and then reply, with smiling eyes, when his son says he wants to spend his life 'doing what dad does.'" So God made a farmer."

Condolence: The Long Family I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Ray. I was blessed to have known Mr. Ray when he was farming. He had an account with 601 Truck Stop also known as Charlie's. I waited upon him many of times. Mr. Ray was a hard honest working man and it was a pleasure to have known him. Again sorry for your loss, the Long Family is in my prayers and thoughts now and the days ahead.

Condolence: Jeff,David,Azalee and family. I came across this poem and thought it was perfect for your family about Ray as a farmer.
Title--Close The Gate:
For this one farmer the worries are over, lie down and rest your head, Your time has been and struggles enough, put the tractor in the shed.
Years were not easy, many downright hard, but your faith in God transcended, Put away your tools and sleep in peace. The fences have all been mended. You raised a fine family, worked the land well and always followed the Son, Hang up your shovel inside the barn; your work here on earth is done. A faith few possess led your journey through life, often a jagged and stony way, The sun is setting, the cattle are all bedded, and here now is the end of your day. Your love of God's soil has passed on to your kin; the stories flow like fine wine, Wash off your work boots in the puddle left by blessed rain one final time. You always believed that the good Lord would provide and He always had somehow, Take off your gloves and put them down, no more sweat and worry for you now. Your labor is done, your home now is heaven; no more must you wait, Your legacy lives on, your love of the land, and we will close the gate. By Nancy Kraayenhof. Our condolences to the whole family. Love, Lisa,Brian,Hudson West.
