Obituary for Thomas J "Tom" Naughton

Thomas J. Naughton, Sr., 91, of Pittsfield died peacefully at home on January 1, 2018. He was born June 16, 1926 to Joseph & Irene. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris and sister Patricia Virgilio. He is survived by his son Tim and wife Laura, son Terry, devoted companion Jeanne Todd, grandchildren Thomas and William and two great grandchildren Rory and Easton, whom he loved very much.

Tom served on the USS Tangier, a south pacific seaplane tender during WWII. After the war he went into home building, eventually starting Renau Construction Company. In retirement, Tom raised beef cattle and cultivated hay at his farm in Adams. He was a fan of the Patriots and Red Sox and never lost his sense humor.

Private services and burial will be held at a future date. Memorial donations may be made to Berkshire Medical Center or Western Mass Labor Action, in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201
