Obituary for Walcie Mae “Jody” Jobe Clement

Walcie Mae “Jody” Jobe Clement, 73, of Crowley, returned to her Heavenly home on January 10, 2018, after a courageous battle with a long illness. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.
Jody was born to the late Jim and Walcie Jobe, on December 20, 1944 in Decatur, TX.
Jody was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her best friend and soul mate, John Clement, on July 24, 1962. They raised their five children in Crowley, TX.
“Nenaw” was the name given by her grandchildren and probably the proudest name to her of all. She will always be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Jody made an impact on everyone who was fortunate enough to be her friend or family and she will never be forgotten.
Jody was an excellent cook and passed those traits down to her five children. She made every family gathering a special event.
Her interests, besides her close-knit large family, include her close friends, whether while playing cards or the many she met while bowling for 53 years, her favorite artist Neal McCoy, her favorite driver Tony Stewart, she loved Texas Ranger Baseball, Dallas Maverick Basketball, quick trips to Winstar and reading suspense novels.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, John Robert Clement and children, Cheryl Tyler and husband Terry; Kerri Clement and husband Mike; Bridgett Scally and husband Claude; Robert Clement and wife Kimberly and Michael Clement, one brother James Kenneth “Cowboy” Jobe and wife Frankie, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James “Jim” Daniel Jobe and Walcie Pank Jones Jobe, her sisters Sylvia Lois Jobe Johnson and Joan “Carolyn” Jobe Hufhines.
Memorial service has been planned on January 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., at Mountain Valley Funeral Home located at 3407 SW Wilshire Blvd, Joshua, Texas 76058.
