Earl Dee Elliott Sr., 88, of Burleson, born February 27, 1929, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 in Alvarado.
Graveside Services: 2PM Monday, January 15, 2018 at Union Hill Cemetery in Joshua. Visitation: 4-7PM Sunday, January 14th at Mountain Valley Funeral Home.
Earl was born in Petersburg, TX to George and Sarah Eva (Gunter) Elliott. He was a U.S. Navy Fireman during the Korean War. Earl was a master carpenter and musician. He loved fishing and enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. Earl married Vernette Kieffer on April 30, 1954. From this union, came 3 boys. They moved to Joshua in 1969, where they built their home and raised their children.
Earl was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Elliott; wife, Vernette Elliott; 4 sisters; and 2 brothers.
Survivors: sons, Earl Jr. and wife, Pam of North Richland Hills, Roy Lee and wife, Bet of Joshua, and Billy Wayne and wife, Kimberly of Burleson; grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher Earl, Scott, Roy Jr., Cassie, Cadie, and Billy Jr.; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
