In Loving Remembrance.....

I remember Joyce as a kind and caring soul who took every opportunity to selflessly help anybody who came her way. Always wearing a smile and always lending a hand in anyway she could. I worked with Joyce for four years, during my tenure as the Superintendent of the Petersburg Public Schools. As a newcomer to Petersburg, she made sure I knew who was who, where the minefields were, and who would be helpful. She was very knowledgeable of the School District, and without her my transition would have been more challenging, her advice and counsel was indispensable, and she even challenged me when she thought I was going in the wrong direction, and I loved her for it. I know this is a time of sorrow for the family, and for her true friends, but I can only say, your love and caring for her while here on earth, and her's for you, I know can and will sustain you in her absence. Just know that she is leading the administrative support staff in heaven, pausing occasionally and looking proudly on the legacy of family and friends yet here on earth, and saying to herself, Well Done !! May God continue to Bless all of her family and friends, and know that their are many who can testify to her good works. In Loving Remembrance !! Shirl E.
