Antonio Celetti
Antonio Celetti, a Purchase resident, died January 13, 2018 at the age of 95. He was born October 18, 1922 in Guardia Lombardi, Italy to the late Nicola and Rosamaria Celetti.
Antonio served in the Italian Army during WWII. On September 25, 1947 he married his wife Assunta in Guardia Lombardi. They migrated to the U.S. in 1963.
He worked for 40 years as Caretaker for the Loeb’s Estate in Purchase.
He is survived by his wife Assunta, his children; Rosemarie (Michael) Giordano of W. Harrison, Grace Gisondi of Purchase, Nick (Josephine) Celetti of Valhalla and Minnie Celetti (Ed). Also surviving are his grandchildren; Dina, Stephanie, Amie, Tommy, Nicholas, Brianna, Alisha and Lucas and great grandchildren; Jack, Leo, Julia, Caroline and Wyatt. He is predeceased by his sister Filomena Narcolli and his son-in-law Tom Gisondi.
He loved his family and friends. He was passionate about his garden and fig trees and still made his homemade wine. Antonio always had a funny story to tell!
