Hello friends and family, my name is Irv Loun. I grew up in the caretaker house on second street pike in Southampton.
Mrs. French was a trustee with the Old School Baptist Church which we communicated often regarding caring of both the church and the house which we rented and mailed her our rent checks for years.
A few times after leaving the house and getting married my wife and i ran into Mrs. French dining at the William Penn Inn when we were fortunate to be invited to dine there by friends. She seemed very happy and enjoying the food and her company, and it was a pleasant surprise to see her and discuss what she had been up to.
Last Thursday I had taken my 11 year old daughter to visit Middle Bucks Tech. School because they were having an open house and wanted to show her where i went to school and let her see what was also available other than college. So on the way home we were cutting through Mrs. French's neighborhood to go past theTamanend Middle school which my daughter will attend but she didn't know where it was. As we drove by her house i was telling her about Mrs. French and how I knew her and she said why don't we stop in and see her. It was 9:00 and I said you don't stop at 9:00 to visit people. Of cource not knowing anything of the circumstance.
I have a small catering business and I get food from the Ivyland country store and I speak to a women that lives there named Teddy ( sorry don't her last name ) put she knew Mrs. French and when we would run into each other on occasion we would both ask if we had heard or seen Mrs. French. Well this week she informed me of the sad news.
Mrs.French was a wonderful person and treated myself and family through the years with high regard.
Rest in Peace,
Love the Loun Family
