Francis M. “Frank” Cummings, 83, passed away at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester on January 3, 2018, after a short period of declining health. Among his survivors Frank leaves four children, Pauline A. Cummings, Dennis M. Cummings and his wife Renee, Jacquelyn J. Cummings, and Andrew C. Cummings, as well as four grandchildren, Kevin, Brandon, Aaron and Abigail and one great grandchild, Kaleb Cummings.
Frank was predeceased by his granddaughter, Shawna Larassa and 2nd wife, Barbara Cummings, whom both passed away in 2009.
Frank was born in Framingham on May 29, 1934, the son to the late Michael F. and Helena V. (Gimskie) Cummings. He spent his childhood in Natick and graduated from Natick High School and later attended a trade school for electronics/engineering. He was a longtime employee of Raytheon Corporation, retiring as shipping manager. He enjoyed catching a game of baseball or football and was proud to serve as coach to the local little league teams. He was an avid golfer and played on many bowling leagues throughout his life. He also loved photography. Frank was proud to have served in the National Guard.
A private graveside service will be held at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Natick. Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough is honored to assist the Cummings family with all arrangements.
