Obituary for Sharon (Cornell) Mai
Sharon (Cornell) Mai passed away on January 12, 2018 at ST Vincent Healthcare with her family by her side. She was born on November 3, 1937 at Billings Deaconess Hospital to Robert E. Cornell and Mae (Lance) Cornell. She was raised and educated in Billings.
On June 25, 1955 she married the love of her life, Gene. They were married for 54 years before Gene passed away in November of 2009. They welcomed three children, Sandy, Pam and Randy.
Sharon was a homemaker before deciding to work at Royal Fork/Kings Table for several years where she met and made numerous friends.
Sharon enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and playing cards at family dinners. She also enjoyed playing Bunco with her friends at Casa Village.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gene, sister Virginia Ness, sister Jean Bornes, brother Robert Cornell Jr. and two nephews.
She is survived by daughter Sandy (Mike) Reno of Lubbock TX, daughter Pam (John) Michalies and son Randy of Billings; granddaughter Jamie (Kory) Burgess of Lolo, MT, grandson James (Jamie) Reno of Quitaque, TX, granddaughter Sarah (Bobby) Boessenecker of Charleston, SC; one great-grandson, one great-granddaughter and three step great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Caryl Huether of Billings and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation from 1:00pm-8:00pm Thursday, January 18, at Smith West Chapel, 304 34th St West. Memorial services will be held 2:00pm Saturday, January 20, 2018 also at Smith West Chapel. Interment of the urn will be at Terrace Gardens Cemetery.
