Condolence: Our family was lucky enough to meet Muriel over 30 years ago while we were building our cottage just down the road from Walter & Muriel. Our shared interest at the time was the fish hatchery they had set up in their garage. With their welcoming personality we became fast friends and we called Muriel our cottage Mom. After Walt passed away we stopped in to see how Muriel was doing and usually stayed for a game of joker rummy which could last hours. We spent a lot of time on road trips with her and every now and again bring her to Ottawa for a weekend which always included casino time. We would laugh till we peed our pants often for no reason at all, so many great times with this remarkable lady. She treated all three of our kids like they were own and always interested in what they doing in their lives and they loved her in return. The characteristics we loved about Muriel were her strength, wisdom, kindness and her ability to have an opinion and not being shy about expressing it. Kathy, Carol, Terry, Tommy & Monica feel proud of the way you all took care of her through difficult times right until the end. Our condolences to all the family. RIP Muriel.

Condolence: Sincere condolences to all of Muriel's family. I worked with Muriel back in the day, when I was a teenager and she acted like one. The woman never stopped and was always laughing. I loved her mischievous grin. I was so happy that I got the chance to see her in the past couple of years when Carol would take her to the Santa Claus parade. I know that she had been having hard times so this is a bittersweet ending of a wonderful life. You will all have great memories to embrace of your Mom. I hope this will help you through the hard times.

I will always remember Muriel baking cookies by the dozens and having to try each kind,it was always delightful. The excitement of a good hockey game or the wisdom of how to lget things done, there never seem to be a dull moment. Rest In Peace, you will live in our hearts forever. I feel blessed for having you and your family in my life!
