Obituary for George A. Moore

George A. Moore, 92, of Billings Montana passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. He was born on July 31, 1925 in Belfry Montana to Charles and Eva Moore. He served in the U.S. Navy from May 7, 1943, to May 6, 1946. On July 30, 1948, he married Elizabeth Ann Hogan. They were married 62 years and raised two daughters and one son.
He and Betty spent over 50 years involved with square dancing. They found great enjoyment calling for several Wyoming and Montana square dance clubs. Through this activity they established many life-long friendships.
George was employed by Husky Oil Company and worked in several capacities during his over forty-year career.
Activities that brought him great pleasure were gardening, woodworking projects and involvement with his church.
George was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty, his foster son, and eleven siblings. He is survived by: two daughters, six granddaughters, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. He is also survived by one brother.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 17, at 11:00 AM at the LDS Church located at 1640 Broadmoor Drive, Billings, Montana. Viewing will be from 9:30 - to 10:30 AM before the services at the Church on Broadmoor Drive. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, January 18, at 11:00 AM at Riverside Cemetery in Cody, Wyoming.
