Obituary for Paul D. Robinson

Paul D. Robinson, 82, of Mercersburg, died January 14, 2018 at Pinnacle Health Hospital, Harrisburg.
Born August 22, 1935 at Mercersburg, he was a son of the late Fred L. Sr., and Carrie L. Kuhn Robinson.
Paul attended Mount Pleasant School. He served in the US Army from 1957 until 1959. During his work career, he had been employed at the Mercersburg Tannery, D.L. Martin Company, and Fayetteville Construction. Paul retired from Letterkenny Army Depot after 20 plus years of service.
Paul attended Greencastle Church of God. He refinished furniture, did woodworking with crafts, hunted, and enjoyed yardwork.
Surviving family include his wife, Norma J. Clayton Robinson, whom he married October 1, 1955. Two sons, Steven D. (Sue) Robinson of St. Thomas and Nicholas M. Robinson of Martinsburg, WVA. Three grandchildren, Zachary C. (Rachel) Robinson, Steven D. Robinson II, and husband Jeffery Ditmer, and Zoe S. Robinson. Nine siblings, Carl Robinson, Velma Schooley, Donald Robinson, Dorcas Mellott, Shelby Carbaugh, Joyce Zeger, and Bonnie Harbel all of Mercersburg, Bobbie Robinson of Chambersburg, and Sharon Dale of Greencastle. Paul was preceded in death by two siblings, Fred Robinson, Jr. and Devonia Fox.
Funeral service 10:00 AM January 18, 2018 at Greencastle Church of God, 4480 Buchanan Trl W., Greencastle with Pastor Floyd E. Myers officiating. Burial at Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.
Viewing 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg, and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
The family requests the omission of flowers. Contributions may be made to Greencastle Church of God, 4480 Buchanan Trl W., Greencastle, PA 17225.
